Jess Maken
The editor of a successful tabloid newspaper, Jess Maken is used to getting things her own way. Ambitious, ruthless and commanding, she doesn't take "no" for an answer.
When Sarah takes on her new job as an investigative journalist, Jess becomes her boss. Jess is determined to have the last say on how Sarah will work under her and it won't always be to her employee's liking.
Played by Carolyn Masson
Hailing from Victoria, Carolyn Masson is the only member of the cast that does not reside in South Australia. She has been preforming since 2003 and has won several Audience Choice Awards for her works in Clouds (2009), Lesbians Walking Tour of Northcote (2008) and various rehearsed play readings in 2008. In 2003, she was nominated for Highly Commended Actress in Drama by the Victorian Drama League.
Her film credits include the Australian soap Neighbours playing Wlima Shay in 2009 and the ABC tele-series, Bed Of Roses (2007) in a support female role. Her most recent achievement is as a book narrator for Vision Australia (Victoria).
